Global Marketing Manager - Food&Beverage Segment (flexible location)

In this role you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing a vigorous sub-segment, application and Account Based Marketing (AMB) strategy for the Food and Beverage segment. You will also proactively manage the global marketing action plan to both achieve the key qualitative and quantitative targets in a profitable way, and to strongly support the growth of this segment worldwide. The role is open globally, but the location is set in ABB Offices in Europe or Eastern US.

Your responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a deep understanding of value proposition for selected strategic customer segments and personas, market intelligence, and team dynamics based on sound internal and external customer insights.
  • Partner with sales to create and execute sub-segment and account-specific growth strategies and plans to increase customer engagement, improve relationships, build brand equity, drive pipeline through marketing activities, and influence win rates.
  • Work across functions and across regions, to run targeted outbound campaigns for food and beverage segments & accounts.
  • Define and maintain sub-segment specific information across the business along with channel to market approach and persona-specific needs and considerations.
  • Scale up the ABM approach in partnership with the Local Sales Units teams, guided by the segment strategy and prioritization.
  • Initiate compelling co-marketing campaigns that support new business and new partnerships.
  • Manage the design and execution of multi-channel integrated campaigns.
  • Assist the content team in developing and evolving messaging and collateral.
  • Promote and assist with event management, including webinars, in-person events, etc.
  • Assist with the design and execution of marketing programs, including, but not limited to email, web, social, landing pages, A/B testing, pay-per click, and other lead capture channels.
  • Institute a continuous improvement cycle for all marketing efforts and provide weekly, monthly, and yearly reporting against established KPIs.
  • Assist sales with the development of sales aids, sales scripts, etc, as needed aligned with sales strategy.
  • Create full lifecycle nurture campaigns.
  • Identify resources and process required to scale all campaign efforts, providing recommendations to management.
  • Execute all initiatives ensuring compliance with governing laws, clients, and vendors.

Your background

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • 3+ years of B2B experience with almost 2 years in a B2B marketing manager, product marketing, brand manager, market research, or marketing-related experience, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Hands on experience in developing and executing segmented and ABM campaigns with strong value proposition and buyer persona development
  • Proven success developing and executing research to uncover customer needs and considerations and then transforming the findings into recommendations
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with on-time delivery
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
  • Ability to develop effective written Marketing and present information to various levels of stakeholders including peers, management, channel partners, customers, and/or suppliers
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, Visio and Word)
  • Experience working globally across countries and business cultures
  • Experience from marketing of electrical products used for industrial production beneficial
  • Experience with cross division collaboration
  • Ability to influence others without direct line of authority to accomplish goals
  • Ability to work independently and under own direction and initiative
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
