Summary
The Global Portfolio Manager, DPS Spine is responsible for deploying and executing best in class NPI Planning for the designated portfolio and directly managing a portfolio of Spine Brands. This role will focus on:
- Strategic Planning management of assigned portfolio of brands (Inventory, NPIs, Phase-In/Phase-Out etc.)
- Leading team of NPI leads and analysts
- Serve as Plan single point of contact for assigned portfolio of NPI projects from initial development to base business transition
- Change management and on-the-job capability building
- Responsible for Plan team performance on assigned NPI portfolio
Global Portfolio Management
- Manage designated portfolios from a Strategic perspective.
- LRPP development and analysis
- 3+ year horizon of base business portfolio management
- NPI planning and impact on entire portfolio
- Represent assigned Portfolio for Value Stream Teams and IBP forums
- Responsible for management of strategic Portfolio elements
- E&O, Inventory and incorporation of Phase In / Phase Out elements
- Responsible for integration of LRPP into IBP horizon and forecasts
- Cross Functional alignment with Marketing, Value Stream Leaders, Supply Chain Project Mgmt and other partners to ensure latest NPI, Obsolescence and Product strategies are incorporated into Portfolio updates
- Partner with Regional and Global planning groups to achieve targets for NPIs and BB such as OTIF D, MAPE, BIAS and Inventory metrics
- Collaborates cross functionally to drive execution of the NPI planning processes to include early stage forecast and capacity scenario planning, bottoms up forecast and final capacity plan development, inventory and obsolescence planning and launch execution
- Coordinate with regions on demand and supply planning elements of NPI Portfolio
- Responsible for global demand and supply plan for NPIs
- Develop and track KPIs for NPI portfolio
- Participation required in Supply Reviews, Global Portfolio Reviews and Executive Reviews
- Responsible for regional NPI instrument forecast development tied to established budgets
- Responsible for regional / global input and support of WW NPI inventory plans and related initiatives
- Responsible for global NPI demand inputs into the formal Business Planning Process
- A minimum of 7 years of experience is required.
- A minimum 2 years of People Leadership experience is preferred.
- Experience dealing with Supply Chain, Commercial/Marketing, Finance and Operations is preferred.
- Experience across at least two supply chain functional areas is preferred.
- Experience with ERP (SAP/APO/SNP) & Advanced Planning Systems is preferred
- Ability to develop, coach and guide a team in the execution, strategies and realization of functional and company goals is required.
- Ability to forge collaboration across all levels of the enterprise & externally is required.
- Ability to influence at all levels both within the Supply Chain, with Commercial, Finance & other key cross functional partners, in a matrix environment and externally is required.
- Strong business acumen – Deep understanding of the business; portfolio, markets, customers, challenges, demands is preferred.
- Up to 20% travel may be required as business demands.
