The global portfolio manager for valves is responsible for actively managing a global group of products for the Honeywell Building Management Systems (BMS) organization.This includes managing the portfolio from post-launch to end-of-life within the multi-generation product (MGPP) roadmap.
The successful candidate will work closely with customers, manufacturing, sourcing, engineering, internal senior executives, field sales organization, key business partners and the senior management team to manage a portfolio of valves.
Tasks
Key responsibilities:
- Manage global portfolio, include gap analysis to define a 3-year roadmap for the global valve product line, including retirement
- Pricing
- Manage quality actions
- Identify/ develop 3rd party partnerships
- Consolidate ongoing order, sales and inventory forecast
- Define SKU reduction programs
- Define SKU retirement/ end-of-life programs
- Support sustaining engineering prioritization, VE/CE with “Plan for Every Product”
- Support new product introduction launches
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or business major
- 3 or more years of experience managing a technical product line.
- Global product management experience
- Electrical or mechanical engineering
- MBA
- Product or solution development experience managing a valve portfolio used in building applications
- Analytical thinking and decision making
- Process/systems orientated
- Work independently and make decisions within degree of authority
- Proven track record of leading projects / product launches
- Building automation industry and product experience
- Product management & marketing skills
- Ability to motivate and influence team members
