Johnson & Johnson Consumer Inc., a member of Johnson & Johnson’s Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Global Portfolio Planning Director to be primarily located in either Ft. Washington, PA, Skillman NJ, Zug, Switzerland, San Jose Dos Campos, Brazil or Markham ON, Canada.

The Global Product & Portfolio Director will lead the development & ongoing execution of a coordinated solution to enable our global portfolio of activities across New Product Development and Life Cycle Management initiatives. The Director will champion the assembly of strategies & insights from technical, commercial, and supply chain partners, to develop a comprehensive product centric roadmap to find opportunities, tradeoffs and lead them to activation in the spirit of achieving standardization, sequencing, scale, and simplification across our portfolio of projects worldwide.

Principal Responsibilities

The Global Product & Portfolio Director will:
  • Champion the newly crafted, digitally enabled planning solution to construct product centric roadmaps, bringing together our NPD and LCM activities in a holistic manner as a service to the regional business
  • See opportunities for an optimized portfolio, lead efforts to cultivate a preliminary business case, garner vital endorsement, and work with the franchises/markets to operationalize swiftly
  • Lead the 5 step planning process to identify, analyze, and optimize insights and translate them into a value-based global roadmap
  • Continuously optimize the development of this new capability by partnering with key partners to increase the flexibility & efficiency of the design.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with key leaders within regions and markets across all functions (Technical, R&D, Marketing, Supply Chain) to identify, synthesize, and analyze insights/data & trends to construct a more optimized E2E portfolio roadmap globally
  • Partner with S&D organization to achieve strategic achievement of long-term supply chain objectives
  • Champion the achievement of supply chain strategies within the context of the roadmap planning process and highlighting & removing macro barriers
  • Promote portfolio standard methodologies and approaches
  • Champion adoption of digital strategies to improve data visibility and E2E decision-making

Required

Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (or University equivalent).
  • A minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant business experience in supply chain, project/portfolio management, technical, business analytics, or planning domains
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of demonstrated direct people manager experience
  • Showcased strength in forging relationships and collaboration particularly in a global setting across a multitude of functions and levels
  • Strong business and financial acumen with proven analytical skills including understanding of financial principles and how to demonstrate this knowledge to make sound business decisions and/or recommendations to achieve business goals in a complex environment with multiple layers of partners.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to act as a change agent and adapt to changing business and organizational dynamics, along with well-honed facilitation and conflict resolution skills
  • Demonstrated experience handling ambiguity and white space
  • Proven ability to interact with all levels of management and lead discussions without line authority to build alignment of senior cross-functional partners
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and challenge conventional thinking
  • Proven track record to identify appropriate methods to collect and analyze a diverse set of data and understand supply chain issues to develop appropriate solutions based on the findings.
  • This position may require up to 10% domestic or international travel as per needs of the business

Preferred
  • MBA, MS or other advanced degree or a degree in engineering, supply chain, or relevant field
  • Expertise with portfolio management at a franchise / business unit level with shown success in the management of large, global, sophisticated, highly interrelated programs & projects
  • Experience in a Consumer, packaged goods or FDA-regulated industry
  • Strong technical knowledge with ability to think strategically on a global scale
  • Experience with Six Sigma/Process Excellence tools, training, and/or advanced certifications (PMP, Scrum)
  • Solid understanding of Tableau, Qlik, Planisware, Business Panorama, Roadmunk, and PPM tools
