Combining chemical industry knowledge with high-performance ingredients and formulation expertise.We are looking for a Global Product Manager to join our high performing team in Muttenz, Switzerland.Responsibilities
  • Accountability for cross market segment product portfolio steering in order to continuously shift the BU product portfolio towards specialties.
  • Continuously analyze the performance and mid-term outlook of major product groups across segments, including designing and maintaining product groups “Directional Policy Matrices (DPMs)”.
  • Build and maintain industry cash cost curves for major product groups.
  • Support BU portfolio strategy reviews, by leveraging directional policy matrix, portfolio lifecycle and cash cost tools.
  • Provide guidance, based on Product Management tools, on which market segments to focus supply in the bi-annual forum of Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Step 0.
  • Prepare Investment (CAPEX) decisions, jointly with segment marketing units and Supply Chain, for growth projects, as part of the IBP process.
  • Establish a network of intel providers/consultants: e.g. IHC, WoodMacKenzie, Oxford, LMC.
  • Establish Product Management discipline (process, tools, cadence, forums) in the BU by providing coaching, guidance and trainings to regional product manager community.
Requirements
  • Master degree in chemistry and/or Engineering, Business Management or Purchasing with strong product management, commercial and finance knowlegde.
  • Strong chemical industry expertise, incl. raw materials, market dynamics, competitors, key applications and demand / profitability drivers.
  • Overall know how on product management disciplines and its frameworks (e.g. directional policy matrix, product lifecycle analysis, cash-cost curves, product profitability, etc.).
  • Proven track record of change management, specifically product management transformation, influencing across management levels, and working with cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical acumen and very good knowledge of cause-effects in figures.
  • Excellent networking, communication and collaboration skills - within the organization, with external partners, and with own team.
  • Fluency in English.
