  • Global leadership of fungicides in Seedcare (SC), maximizing NPV by delivering robust SC technology components and innovation pipelines.
  • Beyond fungicides, represent the overall SC business, drive compelling offers, and fully leverage the SC portfolio in relevant Syngenta Operating Unit/s.
  • Maintain effective portfolio and life cycle management strategies for fungicides.
AccountabilitiesStrategic
  • Lead and drive globally a part of the seed applied fungicides (HQ cross-functional and key regions/territories) including Adepidyn, Sedaxane and NPI
  • Work with Regions, KA’s and assigned Operating Units to determine size and attractiveness of market needs & opportunities and communicate strategic requirements & proposed priorities to the Seedcare Product Management Head and functional leads
  • Design, deliver and maintain technology components, compelling value propositions, delivery systems and creative brand frameworks (strategic MKT frames, brand models, launch kits, communication plans, message maps, customized KA offers) to address specific customer needs.
  • Represent, communicate, and promote overall SC Product range to assigned operating units, across territories and KA’s to ensure projected financial targets for individual products are met (satisfy business case).
  • Provide commercial inputs to enable research targets selection and pipeline progression decisions
  • Research strategy design for fungicide directions
Portfolio
  • Consolidate SC-relevant elements of KA strategies, business case requirements, portfolio strengths & weaknesses into short-, mid- and long-term strategic priorities and product range planning.
  • Lead the life cycle management, systematic phase-in/phase-out planning and IP portfolio management for fungicides.
  • Define annual development priorities and long-term research targets for fungicides.
  • Develop product investment plans to support innovation projects and provide SC Product Management Head with specific planning and forecasting for fungicides.
Operations
  • Serve as the commercial product-line champion / focal point at HQ, driving implementation of agreed priorities and execution of key projects for fungicides.
  • Work with CP PM (shared ai’s) and Supply to ensure efficient pre-S&OP and supply processes for fungicides.
  • Monitor relevant KPI’s (such as sales and price trends) and recommend course corrections as needed to Seedcare Leadership and Regional management.
Qualifications
  • At least 5 years in developing marketing strategies at country or region or global levels.
  • Background in Sales or Customer Marketing or R&D Management or Strategic Consulting.
  • Industry experience in crop protection (and fungicides product management in particular) is strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of fungicides market dynamics and Seedcare.
  • Experience with leveraging new technology (e.g. digital tools), in managing complex projects.
  • Anticipating societal/ economic challenges of fungicides market, open mindset to lead through the change.
  • Proven Leadership: influencing people across functional boundaries and externally and comfortable in communicating with impact with wide range of stakeholders throughout the organization.
