Global Product Marketing Manager

In this role you will be selling company products and systems within a designated geographic area or customer segment in accordance with strategy. You will be developing and maintaining new sales opportunities and customer relationships and manage resolution to specific customer problems. You will also be partnering with Local BU team members (also FES sales functions) for assigned customers and working with external agents and channel partners in order to maximize profits.

Your responsibilities

  • Volume and Profit Sales: Digital Substation Products, Protection Relays products and solutions to customers, focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets for all Local PGs, Local BUs, in collaboration with LSO (Local Sales organization) and PMD (Product marketing director) EPDS.
  • Supporting local organizations in building customer Relations and maintaining effective customer relationships (from commercial to administrative functions) to understand customer needs, promoting customer understanding of full product offering and aligning to provide a solution. Ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the sales process, including post-sale.
  • Building up regional Digital Substation Products, Protection Relays pipeline in SFDC, preparing business plans for allocated countries, for all DA (Digital Substation Products/Distribution Automation) factories and DA solutions centers offering. Performing regular status reviews and proposes proactively recovery plan(s) when necessary.
  • Sales: Ensuring the successful outcome of transactions, contracts and proposals through effective product/solution presentations and negotiations. Communicating details in accordance with ABB offering and strategy (delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions). Strong collaboration with all DA supply units.
  • Marketing: Ensuring efficient marketing communication to external customers (both current and prospects) and communicates the value proposition of the offer to the end customers, early mapping of regional events necessary actions.
  • New Market Opportunities: Contributing to the development of new market opportunities in the allocated countries, in collaboration with local segment and channels managers.
  • Offer Preparation: Preparing offers in coordination with the factory marketing teams managers, with the department and/or the Global Marketing Manager DA/DA solution centers manager. Ensuring appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers, including prices and trading conditions.
  • Early pursuit of frame agreement, involving local PMS (Product Marketing Specialist) and initiative necessary homologations to qualify ABB offering.

Your background

  • BSc or master’s in electrical engineering, or equivalent
  • Professional experience in Marketing and Sales
  • Proficiency in English required.
