Global Product Marketing Manager

"Sell company products and systems within a designated geographic area or customer segment in accordance with strategy. Develop and maintain new sales opportunities and customer relationships and manage resolution to specific customer problems. Partner with Local BU team members (also FES sales functions) for assigned customers, and work with external agents and channel partners in order to maximize profits" This role will report to the Global Product Marketing Manager.

Your responsibilities

  • Volume and Profit Sales: Digital substation products / Protective relays products and solutions to customers, focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets for all Local PGs, Local BUs, in collaboration with LSO and PMD EPDS.
  • Support local organizations in building customer Relations and maintains effective customer relationships (from commercial to administrative functions) to understand customer needs, promote customer understanding of full product offering, and align to provide a solution. Ensures a positive customer experience throughout the sales process, including post-sale.
  • Build up regional PG3401 pipeline in SFDC, prepare business plans for allocated countries, for all DA factories and DA solutions centers offering. Performs regular status reviews and proposes proactively recovery plan(s) when necessary.
  • Sales Ensures the successful outcome of transactions, contracts and proposals through effective product/ solution presentations and negotiations. Communicates details in accordance with ABB offering and strategy (delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions). Strong collaboration with all DA supply units.
  • Marketing: ensure efficient marketing communication to external customers (both current and prospects) and communicates the value proposition of the offer to the end customers, early mapping of regional events necessary actions.
  • New Market Opportunities: Contribute to the development of new market opportunities in the allocated countries, in collaboration with local segment and channels managers.
  • Offer Preparation: prepare offers in coordination with the factory marketing teams managers, with the department and/or the Global Marketing Manager DA/ DA solution centers manager. Ensure appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers, including prices and trading conditions.
  • Early pursuit of frame agreement, involve local PMS and initiative necessary homologations to qualify ABB offering.

Your background

  • Bachelor of Science or Master’s in electrical engineering
  • 5-7 years of experience in Marketing and Sales
  • Experience in Protection Relays (Sales specialist in Protection and Control, Testing, Commissioning, Engineering or equivalent)
  • Fluent in English
