Johnson & Johnson Consumer Europe, a member of Johnson and Johnson’s Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Manager, Global Inventory Management.

The Global Supply Chain Inventory & Process Optimization Manager is a Global role responsible for the end-to-end Consumer Inventory processes including global optimization programs and reporting. This leader works very closely with the regional planning teams and Global functions (Make, Source, IMO) to ensure investments in inventory are optimized, obsolescence is minimized, and processes are standardized with specific ownership of the Entitlement process and tools.

The manager will direct the development and implementation of inventory policies, standard technologies and procedures. This inventory policy includes guidelines regarding inventory definitions & classifications, inventory valuation & reserves, the calculation rules for gross inventory, net inventory DIO & DOS and the standardization of governance, roles and responsibilities.

The inventory leader will benchmark Consumer inventory investment and together with the regions and functions provide insights (including modeling), identify opportunities and drive improvement projects to ensure inventory savings are being delivered. This individual will develop, implement and lead a cross functional inventory governance structure.

This individual will work closely with the regions and with global Make/Source/Deliver to create the global inventory plan/targets during yearly business planning and strategic planning. He/she will create monthly projections of inventory and SLOB and will provide a gap analysis to the global inventory targets and facilitate the monthly and financial reporting cadence.

This leader will work on improving maturity in inventory management in close collaboration with the Enterprise and other segments.

This role is responsible for directing the integrated supply chain inventory, segmentation strategies and setting / governing inventory policies and parameters

Global Supply Chain Inventory & Process Optimization Manager (f/m/d)

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage/Coordinate the annual inventory planning activities.
  • Ensures optimization of our inventory investments, supports inventory trade off decisions with relevant analytics.
  • Directs the development and implementation of inventory policies, standards, technologies, and procedures
  • Provides ongoing support to users and improved understanding of inventory tools and optimization concepts
  • Leads Entitlement governance for the Entitlement tool and processes
  • Drives deployment of inventory modeling processes and tools
  • Models optimization between inventory, service and cost
  • Directs inventory analysis
  • Recommends improvement projects that would drive down network inventory requirements
  • Leads identification of inventory management opportunities that improves business outcomes through cost reduction, cost avoidance, and process improvements on a cross functional level
  • Lead efforts to educate stakeholders and the wider organization on inventory management process and strategy and links it to other functions across the JJSC organization
  • Creates / Governs inventory policies and procedures
  • Develops, deploys and leads a cross-functional Inventory Governance Structure
  • Develops and deploys inventory processes in alignment with all stakeholders (Make, Plan, Source, Deliver, Finance)
  • Projects SLOB and supports the creation and deployment of prevention plans to minimize SLOB expense
  • Leads development of inventory plan during the strategic planning process, annual business planning and quarterly update processes.
  • Identifies and drives programs to deliver inventory BP and Strat plan commitments.
  • Utilizes inventory modelling to identify and lead execution of optimization opportunities.
  • Manages monthly/ quarterly inventory projection process and creates the Gap analysis and action plans with the regions.
  • Creates and executes a plan to continuously improve the inventory management competencies in the Plan group and in critical positions in other functions.

Travel Requirements: 25% travel domestically and internationally.

Qualifikationen

Education & experience

Education: University Bachelor`s Degree or equivalent. MBA or equivalent preferred. Green Belt Six Sigma Certifications & Supply Chain Certification (APICS) desirable

Experience
  • 5+ Years related experience
  • Experience with SC planning
  • Experience leading cross functional teams
  • Experience with ERP (SAP/APO/SNP) & Advanced Planning Systems.

  • Demonstrates ability to apply leading edge benchmark approaches to drive inventory optimization decisions in the business.
  • Ability to visualize and develop the future state network, applying appropriate inventory strategies according to the business needs.
  • Good understanding of Single-echelon and Multi-echelon inventory optimization processes and technologies.
  • Knowledge of various inventory modeling technique
