Temporary Global Sourcing Manager (6 month maternity cover), Value-Added IngredientsNyon, SwitzerlandOverviewThe Global Manager, Value-Added Ingredients (VAI) role serves as a strategic member of our Global Raw Materials team in support of large initiatives needed to drive the strategy to deliver our 3-year savings pipeline. Initiatives will be led individually as well as in support of other global VAI & commodities managers on the team.Additionally, this role will lead sourcing events at a global and/or regional level within the Global VAI Categories he/she leads in partnership with regional category leads and a team of buyers and sourcing analysts. The Global Manager plays a key role in developing the global categories strategy, ensuring category compliance, and delivering global performance metrics for their categories including fulfilment of Total Value.Key Accountabilities- Management of Value-Added Ingredient (VAI) categories with a combined spend of ~$120MM, including Rice, Rice flour, Rice crisps.
- Owns delivery of annual financial plan, cost savings and value creation target for the Global Categories including ensuring the regions have appropriate plans to enable delivery of Global Category financial commitments.
- Develops and executes strategies, plans, capabilities, and process improvements to drive business results and competitive advantage in the areas of holistic margin management, supply, budget, and risk management
- Understand key cost drivers of the global categories and in-depth global market and industry analysis skills. Use understanding to develop negotiation and cost management strategy.
- Owns the supplier management to build long term business partnership and support continuous improvement.
- Cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders. Build and exhibit cross-functional influence skills across virtual and in-person teams across regions and cultures.
- Bachelor’s degree. Preferred: Supply Chain Management, Economics, Finance, Business or related fields
- 7+ years of Sourcing Experience
- Fluency in English with the ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
- Data Analytics – ability to analyze and visualize large amounts of data
- Experience managing projects with a variety of stakeholders
- Ability to set direction and effectively influence others to drive results without direct reporting relationships
- Thrives in ambiguity and times of significant change
