In this newly created senior position, you will report direct to the Head of Division Logistics/Customization Excellence.

Global Transport Manager

Your tasks
  • Leading and developing the global Transport Management Team
  • Owner of the the global Transport Sourcing and Transport Operating Strategy
  • Establish and control the global transportation budget and monthly/quarterly forecasts
  • Develop and implement performance measurements to manage transport service providers
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement methodology for logistics service providers performance reviews
  • Design and execute global and regional transport tenders for all modes of transport
  • Development and optimization of transport processes
  • Implement, track and report internally key metrics of transportation performance
  • Preparation and execution of logistics investments related to transportation services
  • Maintain advanced knowledge of transportation related legal, customs and banking requirements

Your profile
  • Basic technical education with higher technical degree (Bachelor or above) ideally in the area of Supply Chain / Logistics or Business Administration
  • 5+ years experience in global logistics and transportation operations and strategic procurement
  • Experience in managing global teams and cross functional relationship management
  • Project management experience in leading supply chain change and/or logistics and transportation improvement programs
  • MRP and specifically Transportation Management System knowledge and experience is a must
  • Experience in developing and implementing transport management reporting systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, fluent in both English and German. Analytical nature and comfortable working with data
  • Enthusiastic, innovative and proactive team player who enjoys working within a multi-cultural environment
  • Travel activity approx. 15%
