In this role you will have the chance to contribute to the business-driven global waste elimination initiative which is a CPW internal program on cost savings across the value chain. You will drive and identify global cost saving opportunities for ingredients, recipes, packaging and manufacturing, in conjunction with the regions, R&D, procurement and marketing in order to deliver against the Waste Elimination objective.

Position Summary
As a Global Waste Elimination Specialist, you will be….
Leading the execution of global cost saving projects in collaboration with cross functional teams and regions and engaging with key stakeholders to facilitate approval of the initiatives
Organizing, facilitating, and executing ideation sessions (across brands, markets, factories) to identify waste elimination opportunities across the whole value chain (ingredients, packaging, process…)
Benchmarking internally and externally different costs and practices
Acting as a key global Waste Elimination contact for regions and supporting them to achieve their waste elimination targets
Contributing to the global waste elimination pipeline fill
Acting as an ambassador for waste elimination across the whole organization by engaging with internal stakeholders
Collaborating closely with the 2 parent companies Nestlé and GMI to find synergies on cost saving opportunities and to ensure support
What Will Make You Successful
- Degree or equivalent in Food Science, Food Technology or related technical / scientific field.
- 5 years+ technical or procurement experience (ideally breakfast cereals or similar category) in factory or R&D positions
- Recognized expertise in raw and packaging materials
- Practical application of engineering, science and technology. Ability to develop strategies based on business needs/opportunities
- Project management experience
- Experience in working in a cross-functional environment
- Solid understanding of financial basics and business P&Ls
- Experience in internal and external benchmarking
- Experience with cost saving ideation tools (recipe deep dives, E2E walks, LEAN,...)
- Sound judgement of complex situations, ability to evaluate and analyse data in order to define and lead relevant actions/plans
- Effective communication skills and courage to challenge when appropriate
- Ability to manage conflicts and negotiations in a constructive way to achieve beneficial results for the business
- Ability to deliver results and provide leadership and guidance across the organization in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and demands
- Ability to develop constructive, cooperative, respectful and trusting working relationships with others. Strong personal integrity and ability to receive and act on feedback
- Proven track record in delivering results through others, functional leadership and complex stakeholders management
