The programme

This is a unique 24-month experience, where we offer you a permanent position together with a specific programme of rotations in different teams to build your expertise and professional skills. Based on a permanent contract, our graduate programme includes on- and off-the-job components, with an emphasis on teamwork, exploring your skillset and furthering your development with specific objectives.

Technology & Operations (Tech&Ops) design and integrate software applications ranging from portfolio management systems and trading platforms to banking and corporate solutions. The division is responsible for some of the Group’s key innovations while sustaining business operations and developing custodian and fund administration services.

You will join the Transition Team, whose role is to serve as the main entry point for onboarding new complex clients at Pictet Tech&Ops, ensuring operational readiness to start the relationship. These clients come from either:

Pictet Wealth Management (PWM), with the objective being to coordinate all set-up activities with different operational experts to ensure a successful transfer from a previous custodian

or Pictet Asset Management (PAM), with the objective being to coordinate activities between operational experts and the PAM management company to launch or restructure PAM funds.

Your role

You will have the chance to work in a cross-disciplinary role, dealing with a large part of the Bank’s organisation. You will have contact with several departments, focusing on either operational or legal/compliance topics. Covering the full scope of Tech&Ops operational activities, you will liaise with different business lines or their end-clients and coordinate with international external counterparties to facilitate the transfer of new clients.

During the graduate programme you will have the opportunity to develop a good understanding of the Bank and acquire cross-disciplinary operational expertise by:
  • developing a solid foundation in project management while conducting complex client onboarding projects (e.g. PAM fund launch or restructuring, coordinating the set-up of a new PWM client)
  • taking part in improvement initiatives to optimise processes and client onboarding tools; contributing to the implementation of KPIs to monitor the onboarding activity.

The programme is made up of different stints with various Pictet units and departments. As such, you will have the opportunity to work with Banking Operations, FundPartner Solutions Luxembourg, the Programme Management team and in different business lines (PAM and PWM).

With your strong client-oriented mindset, drive and operational skills, you will be recognised as a key member of the Client Transition team, which is a valuable partner for our business lines PAM and PWM.

Your profile
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Finance or Information Systems, with a genuine interest in business.
  • Strong empathy, client-servicing mindset.
  • Involvement in extracurricular activities (academic, athletic, charitable, etc.) would be considered a major plus.
  • Good communication skills and an ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
  • MS Office skills, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Fluency in English (both written and oral), with other languages beneficial but not required.
  • Must be resident in Switzerland.
