Your team

The programme

This 24-month programme, which comes with a permanent contract, includes on- and off-the-job components, placing the emphasis on teamwork but also exploring each individual’s specific skillset, as well as furthering their development and setting specific objectives.
As a member of our Graduate Programme, you will develop your business know-how by working alongside accomplished professionals. Your initial training will be complemented by a professional certification relevant to your area of business (CFA, CIIA, etc.). Our programme will also enable you to develop the interpersonal and self-leadership skills required in your future career. The programme will provide you with the opportunity as well to establish an extensive network of peers and experts within Pictet and to meet members of the senior management.

Your role

The programme is made up of different components which are run in the different teams that make up the investment platform, including the following activities: financial research for equities and bonds, fund selection, advisory services, as well as portfolio, product and project management. There is also the possibility of rotations in our front office businesses and in other Group divisions (e.g. Pictet Trading & Sales, Pictet Alternative Advisors and Pictet Asset Management), depending on needs and availabilities.
During the Graduate Programme you will develop strong analytical and investment skills and forge a solid network, comprising business stakeholders working for Pictet Wealth Management.
You will finish the programme as an investment professional, using the expertise you have gained to contribute to the success of our teams.

Your profile

  • Master’s in Finance, Economics, Management or Engineering from a top business school or an equivalent qualification.
  • Between six months’ and two years’ work experience in consulting, project or change management within financial services’ institutions (internships and temporary roles are also taken into account).
  • At ease with numerical reasoning and passionate about the finance industry, its services and its products.
  • Results-oriented, committed and driven to succeed in a challenging and stimulating working environment.
  • Ability to deal effectively with multiple tasks under time constraints and without compromising on the quality of deliverables.
  • Excellent communication and presentation (verbal and written) skills.
  • Highly skilled user of PowerPoint and Excel. Proficiency in other financial applications (Bloomberg, Factset) or programming (Tableau, Python, SQL) skills would be a plus.
  • Fluency in English is a must; French and any other language would be an asset.
  • International exposure, either in a work-related, academic or personal context, would be a plus.
  • Strong involvement in extracurricular activities with a contribution to specific projects (academic, humanitarian or similar) would be highly appreciated.
  • Must be resident in Switzerland with a valid work permit.
