Our client is a midsized, successful physical trading company, headquartered in Zug. The company belongs to an international mining group.

We are looking for a younger, motivated

Group Accountant / Trade Accountant

Position:
  • Daily review and checking of material sales and purchases and monitoring bank transactions
  • Daily P/L control reports and review in conjunction with other commercial departments, including identification and resolution of differences
  • Daily cash flow report, recognition of overhead costs
  • Reporting discrepancies reports to management and traders in order to improve accuracy in the system.
  • Performing the monthly close of all trading activity for trading businesses together with the Chief Accounant
  • Liaising with other colleagues on accounting issues (accruals for costs not invoiced, FX issues)
  • Other accounting and finance related projects when requested
Profile:
  • Chartered Accountant qualification (ACCA, CA, CPA)
  • 3 - 5 years of working experiences within an international company, preferably in a commodity trading environment
  • experience in IFRS regulation
  • Understands trading
  • Fluent in English as a company language
  • Confident / good working knowledge in IT (excel)
  • Can work well in a team and also independently
  • Ability to handle large volumes of trades and complete work to set deadlines
  • An enthusiastic attitude to learning and solving issues
