Group Accounting Manager –
Your future role ?


As a Group Accounting Manager you will report to the Head of Group Accounting, Finance Compliance & Reporting, and you will ensure that the Company is compliant with applicable International Accounting Standards across the Group (IFRS) and that these standards are regularly monitored and translated into a full and compliant set of Group policies, guidelines and procedures


In this exciting challenge, your main responsibilities will be the following:


Group Accounting Guidelines, Instructions & CoE

  • Develop policies, processes and positions papers to ensure proper implementation of the Group accounting instructions
  • Review and update the Group Accounting instructions on a regular basis
  • Provide expert insight to any changes in International Accounting Standards (IFRS) and/or to develop and articulate on the company’s interpretation of technical accounting matters for internal stakeholders and with external auditors
  • Act as Centre of Expertise (CoE) for Accounting matters to the Global Finance Organisation
  • Coordinating of Accounting trainings and programmes to ensure proper application of the Group accounting instructions
  • Monitor and approve Group Chart of Accounts (CoA) requests & Coordinate harmonisation and cleansing activities executed by GBS (Givaudan business solutions) organisation

Group Financial Statements & Tax reporting support

  • Assessment impact of new and revised IFRS regulation and of specific transactions on the consolidated financial statements
  • Participate to the preparation of the notes of the interim and annual reports
  • Ensure that consolidated financial statements and notes to the interim and annual reports are prepared in accordance with, and comply with IFRS
  • Oversee all accounting and reporting obligations in so far as it relates to the accounting and reporting obligations of post-retirement benefit plans
  • Manage the provision of reporting and controlling support to the Group Tax and Treasury departments in the form of reports and/or forecasts and the assessment of the accounting impacts of certain transactions

Acquisition Accounting:

  • Be the reference point together with the Group Reporting team on the integration of newly acquired companies and actively participate in their integration into the Group Reporting systems
  • Lead Due Diligence fieldwork for the Accounting & Reporting stream including development of valuation models
  • Ensure PPA completion in accordance with IFRS3 requirements

Your professional profile includes:


  • University or Master Degree in Finance
  • Professional Degree in Accounting (such as ACCA or CPA) is a plus
  • 5 to 8 years of relevant working experience in External Audit and/or IFRS Accounting expert roles
  • 2 or plus years of experience in people management
  • High level of written proficiency in English; French as a benefit
  • Able to work under pressure and meeting deadlines
  • Strong communication and presentation capabilities
  • Project Management experience
  • Ability to work as part of a team and ability to coach
  • Excellent understanding of IFRS
  • Experience in External Audit
  • Good understanding of Reporting / Consolidation Systems and SAP Fi/Co
