Our client is a well-known engineering company which is looking for Group

Commodity Manager in

the Bern area.

  • Responsibility for the strategic procurement of production materials for the various European plants
  • Definition and further development of

    • global product group strategy in a team with development, quality management

    and operational purchasing

  • Optimization of purchased parts through innovative

    • impulses from key suppliers (early involvement in the product development

    process)

  • Review and further development of

    • existing suppliers and the selection and qualification of new suppliers and

    partners (supplier management)

  • Identification of optimization

    • potential, also through the bundling of requirements

  • Price and contract negotiations with

    • suppliers

  • Continuous observation and analysis of

    • global trends on the procurement markets

  • Professional experience as a strategic buyer / lead buyer for production materials in a globally positioned industrial company
  • Sound knowledge of national and international contract law as well as methods for conducting negotiations
  • Good user skills in MS Office and SAP
  • Fluent German and English skills
  • Quality awareness, affinity for technology and production as well as entrepreneurial thinking and acting
  • Confident appearance, very good moderation and negotiation skills as well as distinctive communication skills on all levels
