Optotune is a growing and internationally active optics company based in Dietikon, Switzerland. We develop, manufacture and market the latest generation of adaptive optical elements for industrial and consumer markets.

In this role you will lead our talented process team in the transition to high scalable processes for our consumer business.

Tasks
  • Lead an interdisciplinary team of process engineers and technicians within the area of assembly, automation, and surface technology processes
  • Be a strong leader, exhibiting Optotune’s core values and engage your team by following “The Optotune Way to Success”
  • Build a high-performance team by selecting, teaching, coaching, and inspiring each member of your team
  • Develop high volume manufacturing processes for production of tunable optics together with your team
  • Meet internal targets for performance and cost (throughput, yield) within the allotted time frame and introduce new production and test equipment where needed
  • Stabilize existing manufacturing processes using statistical process control methods in IQC, IPQC, OQC and process parameter optimization (DOE)and transfer them to operations globally with all required documentation
  • Collaborate in multidisciplinary project teams and inspire team members and management partners to strive for alignment, business perspective and high performance
Requirements
  • Min 3 years of experience in leadership and process development preferably in high volume environment
  • MSc degree in Material Science, Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or equivalent
  • Strong leader who can inspire a team and overcome challenges when under time pressure
  • Knowledge of MEMS especially polymers, surface technologies, automation, and assembly
  • Familiarity with FMEA, Gage R&R, DOE, SPC and other statistical modeling
  • Self-motivated, proactive, pragmatic, and eager to grow
  • Strong planner and executer
  • Quick thinker, persistent & empathic
  • Proficiency in English and German desired
