Job Description

Reporting to the SVP, Corporate Communication, Sustainability & Investor Relations, you will provide leadership on all activities focused on our investors, the financial community and the corporate community, including financial reporting & analysis, corporate press releases, reputation & crisis management and corporate partnerships & sponsorships.

More Specifically You Will
  • Manage corporate communications and ensure both you and your team members are accountable for key deliverables.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with Geneva media and local key journalists and commentators in Geneva-based publications and channels.
  • Define and manage partnerships with local organizations including trade associations.
  • Anticipate reputational risk issues and develop and implement appropriate communication actions for crisis management and communications following process guidelines. Developing holding statements, liaising with the network and consulting on the best course of action for each situation. Proactively manage reputation by analyzing and reporting organizational risks.
  • Proactively identify opportunities and requirements for engagement and influence by being current with developments that relate to all key stakeholders and partners. This includes representing the company on a number of panels and committees.
  • Produce the materials for the Strategy, supporting the Investors Relations effort (including the Investor Days and Leadership Conference) and the Annual Report in English to a high standard. Seek to improve the process for all stakeholders with each iteration.
  • Work with management to develop internal communications programs and processes required to support organizational change and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Oversee, simplify and manage the improvement of the production process of the Annual Report. Seek to improve the process for all stakeholders with each iteration.
  • Evaluate the feasibility and meaningfulness of working towards the full integration of the Annual and Sustainability reports.
  • Design and implement IR communication initiatives that increase the visibility and understanding of the institution’s vision and purpose within the financial community.
  • Take ownership for the creation, drafting and editing of PR statements.
  • Identify, map and manage key corporate stakeholders, including analysts, investors, media and advocacy
  • Review all corporate communications processes to ensure that we operate with best practice
  • Review the governance standards and operational protocols for the sign-off on all corporate communications emanating from the institution, to ensure that quality assurance is maintained, and brand guidelines are adhered to.

Qualifications

The role requires expertise and experience within Geneva-based corporations.

We expect you to have effective relationship building skills, a strong sense of accountability and a proven ability to promote collaboration in large complex matrix organizations.

The following skills and experience will ensure your success in this role:
  • A degree from an accredited university in Political Science, International Relations, Public Affairs, Business, Communications or another related field.
  • Significant management experience in investor and/or public relations within a matrix, collaborative environment at a management level. Including hiring, developing, motivating, assigning accountability, reviewing and directing people as they work.
  • Exceptional research, writing, editing, verbal and interpersonal communication skills (in English and French)
  • Strong diplomatic and persuasive skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage reputational risk.
  • Proven record of forging strong and effective relationships within the media environment and with internal stakeholders.
  • Sensitivity to the regional, international and multicultural environments in which the institution operates.
  • Ability to manage local relationships (in French and Swiss-German ideally).
  • An incorruptible sense of integrity and ethics.
