Are you passionate about helping an organization address employee workplace issues fairly and consistently? Do you believe that HR has a role to play in proactively preventing issues from arising through clear policy, education and awareness? Are you an expert in providing employee relations (ER) advice and solutions to colleagues, and have experience in managing a team?

Under your leadership, you and your team:
  • Manage disciplinary processes, including conducting investigations, making recommendations regarding disciplinary action and ensuring fairness and consistency to handling of these matters
  • Investigate employee related concerns and complaints related to workplace issues including allegations of discrimination, harassment and bullying
  • Advise on employee relations impact related to organizational change, reductions in workforce, acquisitions and divestitures
  • Develop, implement and maintain tools and processes that enable us to handle workplace issues expediently, while maintaining a high standard of quality
  • Produce and deliver training to employees, line managers and HR colleagues on prevention of employee relations issues
  • Support the development and governance of policies and procedures and ownership for the Swiss Personnel Regulations
In addition, you will:
  • Monitor and be accountable for the effective handling of ER cases by the team, acting as a point of escalation, and personally managing some of the more sensitive or complex cases
  • Oversee the collective consultation processes across the region, including liaising directly with the Swiss Employee Representation Committee and taking an active role in other employee representative bodies across EMEA
  • Identify and cascade key ER themes and emerging trends to key stakeholders, and take measures to proactively address and prevent such issues arising
  • Respond to regular and ad-hoc regulatory enquiries, and ensure diligent execution of controls in a timely fashion
  • Actively contribute to the Switzerland HR Forum and the Global ER Management Group - leading and implementing location-specific or global initiatives as required
Description du profil

  • Strong knowledge of Swiss/European employment law and significant experience in advising on and handling difficult employee relations matters
  • Proven leadership and organizational skills, with a demonstrable track record in managing, developing and motivating a high performing team
  • Sound critical thinking, problem-solving and negotiating skills, with the ability to apply those skills to a wide range of HR issues
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and strong influencing skills capable of managing relationships across all levels of the organization, including senior management
  • Proven effectiveness in leading projects at a global level, collaborating with colleagues from other regions to move forward the function’s strategic priorities
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to understand and present data, to identify trends and offer strategic advice to proactively support the culture of the Bank
  • Fluency in German and English (additional European languages a plus)
  • Proven ability to remain calm under pressure, and supervise others in managing competing priorities
  • A strong sense of teamwork and partnership with others
  • Experience of working in the Financial Services industry a plus
