Job Purpose

The Head of Global network oversees and manages the members, design, architecture and overall performance of global network teams and services for the entire Straumann Group. The person enables the delivery of high-quality network services, to ensure and meet business, security and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for all network technologies (Internet, WAN, LAN, Gateways, Remote Access etc.) and ensures high performance connectivity between all Straumann sites, end-users and local and global IT services. She/He will need built & maintain the network service portfolio, define the roadmaps and ensure compliant life-cycle of all global network services. The successful candidate will actively maintaining an awareness of industry trends and technical opportunities, to keep developing our network technology environment and continuously measure against high industry standards. In addition, the person will manage the network vendor relations & own contracts, measure the contracts against the agreed SLA and ensures global network delivery within a 24x7 international environment.

Main Tasks And Responsibilities
  • Set the strategy for the global & local network teams and technologies
  • Build and maintain the global network service portfolio and roadmaps
  • Execute based on the customer centric roadmaps all network projects
  • Migrate from four regional network vendors to one global network vendor
  • Manage and develop the global and local network teams in an international environment
  • Ensure with End-to-End process management the best possible performance in quality, security, compliance, and costs.
  • Developing and sustaining long-standing relationships with company-approved vendors
  • Establishing standards by which to assess the performance of approved vendors.
  • Analyzing internal processes and creating strategies for continuous network service optimization.
  • Familiarity with the Information processes and tasks described in the ITIL, which is a manual for IT service management.
Profile

Education
  • A Bachelor’s or Masters Degree in Business Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or a relevant field
  • Certifications in the area of IT Service - (ITIL V4) and Project Management (Prince2, Scrum etc.)
Experience
  • > 10 years of experience in IT for different areas such as network Management, application, infrastructure, software development, operation technology etc.
  • > 5 years of experience in IT service management (ITIL) processes working in international companies.
  • > 5 years of experience as the responsible function for Global Network Management.
  • A proven track record of building, managing and continuously developing global network services, network vendor migrations and network service portfolio management.
  • Deep hands-on experience in managing Service Improvement Programs (SIP), Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA) etc.
  • Understanding of and experience in application & infrastructure architecture and a high awareness of information security models, information systems, network, virtualization and traditional data centre skills
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in end-to-end process ownership
  • Deep knowledge and proven track records of managing agile project methods, ideally with SAFe and Scrum
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English with the ability to engage with and present to executive level, further languages a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix environment where a high degree of cross functional collaboration is required to deliver outstanding results
  • Ability to travel globally (up to 20% of time)
