Verity is seeking a Head of Hardware Engineering to lead a team of the talented electrical, mechanical, camera, and test engineers building advanced indoor drone systems from the ground up. This role will challenge you to apply people leadership skills, along with technical know-how, to help your team build great products.

The global leader in autonomous indoor drone systems, Verity enables zero-error warehousing for big-box retailers, third-party logistics providers, and manufacturers, with our integrated inventory tracking system. Verity counts 3PL giant DSV and IKEA among their current client base. Our live events solutions help create stunning effects for top names in the entertainment industry like Drake, Céline Dion, Metallica, and Cirque du Soleil. What you’ll do

  • Lead electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, camera, and test engineers in the development of indoor drones
  • Build ways-of-working, engineering tools, and organizational structure to improve quality, scalability, and accelerate hardware development and learning cycles
  • Foster engineering architecture discussions and facilitate decisions
  • Management of successful transition of products into series production
  • Engineering aspects of the supply chain: supplier selection, quality management, NPI hand-over

What you bring

  • Degree (FH, BSc, MSc) in computer science, software engineering, or relevant field.
  • 5 years experience in leading engineering teams delivering complex electro-mechanical products
  • 10 years experience in product development, with multiple successful product launches
  • Management skills to motivate and empower a high-performing team
  • Technical skills to guide or lead design reviews and thoroughly understand the team’s work
    • Analog, power, and high-speed digital design
    • Plastics, sheet metal, and thermal design
    • Camera systems: lens, sensor, illumination selection
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken. German is a plus.
  • Architecture skills to keep technical development on track with the long-term product vision
