Job Description

As our new Head of International Market Access you will be responsible for developing and executing strategy in international markets (EMEAC, JPAC, LATAM) and support Galderma in its next stage of evolution. Reporting to the Global Head of Market Access, Pricing, and Channel, you will play a central role in building the company’s success internationally.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary market access point of contact for international markets (EMEAC, JPAC, and LATAM); ensure Regional Franchise Heads are supported on all access related topics
  • Champion pricing and reimbursement requirements throughout commercialization and ensure alignment between all stakeholders internally; this includes identifying payer unmet needs, assessing pricing potential, identifying access challenges and way to overcome, developing tactical execution plans in collaboration with local affiliates, supporting payer negotiations as needed, etc.
  • Lead the development and implementation of P&MA strategies to optimize and sustain pricing, reimbursement, and market access strategy in international markets
  • Collaborate with HEOR and local affiliates to identify payer evidence needs and ensure appropriate evidence generation packages for in-line and pipeline products are created and deployed to ensure commercial access and reimbursement
  • Gain senior management and cross-functional buy-in for International P&MA strategies
  • Lead development of international market access deliverables, negotiation strategies, and national/regional market access tactics to secure price and reimbursement
  • Provide support to Local Operating Companies (LOCs) - including product value-stories, cost-effectiveness and budget-impact models, pricing frameworks, etc. - for local adaptation for P&MA submissions and negotiations
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Marketing, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Legal and Finance), including LOCs, to ensure that plans are fit-for-purpose
  • Provide P&MA perspectives in support of business development initiatives
  • Initiate, maintain, and tactfully influence relationships with various medical and non-medical stakeholders
  • Mentor individuals on the Global Market Access, Pricing, and Chanel team as well as LOC access teams
  • Actively contribute to the annual brand planning, forecasting, and budgeting process



Minimum Requirements

  • 10+ years in Market Access; prior experience leading Regional Market Access in a major European market is strongly preferred
  • Undergraduate degree required, MBA and/or relevant post graduate qualifications preferred
  • Prior people management experience - especially managing multi-cultural teams across geographies
  • Track record developing and successfully executing P&MA strategies in competitive therapeutic areas
  • Proven ability to negotiate P&MA with reimbursement authorities and reach successful agreements
  • Proven record in defining and justifying P&MA strategy in major international markets, especially EU
  • Ability to identify any critical data gaps (beyond registrational datasets) with respect to P&MA submissions and define strategies to address them
  • Proven record in developing multi-country strategies, including launch sequencing and price corridors
  • Good familiarity with HEOR methods and requirements
  • Strong analytical, statistical skills
  • Possessing strong ’executive presence’
  • Strong spoken fluency in the English language with excellent English language writing skills are pre-requisites. Additional European languages advantageous
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence in rapidly changing environment
  • Travel - up to 30%
