Vatorex is a Swiss technology startup dedicated to saving the honey bees. We are committed to creating innovative solutions for the beekeeping community, to enable healthier bees, more robust food systems and a sustainable planet. We develop and distribute hardware and software solutions for beekeepers. Our flagship product is a chemical-free parasite treatment, using the principle of heat. The core team consists of technicians, scientists, marketers and

beekeepers and has been in operation since 2015.

To accelerate our development and to grow our team, we are looking for a

Head of product 80-100% (m/f/d)

Your role will be to develop and deliver a robust, efficient and cost-effective IoT product. The success of the product will be measured through a team of scientists of a large commercial beekeeping association in a major export market and through the feedback from the participating commercial beekeepers.

We are searching a product-savvy, IoT-experienced person who will oversee and be responsible for the whole product lifecyle of our next generation product. You should have a technical background and work experience in electrical or mechanical engineering. Your leadership skills, high achievement orientation and your trustworthy, empathetic personality allow for shared success. Our products differentiate us from competition, this is why openness to innovation is important for this position. Your commitment and alignment to our purpose is crucial for reciprocal success.

Tasks
  • Define and manage the product & resources roadmap in alignment with company objectives
  • Manage a team of engineers, developers and data scientists
  • Ensure compliance with international regulatory laws (encryption, data privacy/ownership, certification conformity)
  • Mitigate product risks through appropriate testing

Requirements
  • Empathy, trustworthiness, leadership skills
  • Structured personality and organizational strengths
  • Job experience in hardware products and IoT
  • Knowledge in agricultural or industrial IoT
