Head of Product Verification & Validation Positioning

We offer an interesting and challenging opportunity in our international multi-site positioning product development team. We are serving the differentiated market needs with dedicated product development teams to assure maximum business agility. The product teams are supplied with essential platform features and functionality by our internal platform development team. To assure time to market and high product quality we are relying on an efficient and effective way to test, validate and verify new products before release and before they go to production.

As the head of product verification & validation you will report to the head of product development positioning and have the functional leadership of specialized teams for product validation, verification and production test design.

In this position you are responsible that our products are properly tested and verified before they are released to the market. You design and assure an effective cascade from the platform delivery to product validation and production test which you will align with the verification and validation teams on the platform side.

Your verification and validation specialists are part of market-oriented scrum teams, which you coach with your high experience in design, planning and execution of verification and validation tasks.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead the specialized teams for production testing, verification, and validation in product development for industrial, automotive, and functional safe products
• Design and optimize the production test, verification, and validation concept in product development
• Represent production test, verification and validation needs to our internal test development and continuous integration team
• Represent product verification & validation team towards the product management and product strategy teams
• Assures that required test coverage and quality can be achieved, optimal usage and management of the test equipment
• Assure testable platform, feature and product requirements fitting the market needs
• Support test leads and test engineers in their challenge in the scrum teams
• Coordinate with other teams to address dependencies and impediments
• Define metrics for, and monitor team performance
• Define metrics and reporting for product quality together with Verification and validation team

Your Skills and Experience

• University degree in technical domain
• Experience with embedded SW & HW development projects
• Strong evidence of leading and developing organization with international teams
• At least 5 years’ experience in product verification & validation
• Good understanding of production, production testing and qualification
• Strong experience in product testing & validation methods and in efficient production test design
• Servant leadership who can work independently and has a customer focused orientation
• Willingness to travel occasionally
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
