Job Purpose/Role

At Allianz Risk Transfer AG we are dedicated to supporting our clients by working with them to deliver the best possible solutions in the management, control and reduction of risks.

In this role you will be responsible for risk management and control activities for two legal entities and be part of the center of competence for the non-traditional Line of Businesses written in Allianz Global Corporate and Specialty (AGCS) globally. This includes managing top risks, setting and ensuring consistency with the risk appetite and working closely with the business to address risks. The role reports to an executive board member of ART AG and to the global Chief Risk Officer of AGCS.


Responsibilities

In this role you will…

  • Be Responsible for the risk management function of two legal entities and for the entire structured and fund business in AGCS.
  • Ensure a state-of-the-art risk management framework.
  • Propose the risk appetite for structured and fund business.
  • Define and prioritize actions to mitigate risks in close collaboration with the underwriting and claims functions.
  • Perform regular and ad-hoc risk reporting to the top management.
  • Drive all actions around the capital regime (closing process, regulatory reporting, request by the supervisors).
  • Perform the ORSA process at legal entity level.
  • Drive regular discussions with senior management of the business on risk management topics.

To be successful in the role:

You will have...

  • Excellent qualification with an analytical background, preferably a degree in Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, or any other analytical science
  • Professional experience ideally at least 5 years in reinsurance, P&C insurance and / or asset management, ideally experience in risk managing function
  • Sound understanding of risk governance principles as well as regulatory requirements including capital regimes
  • An Engaged, independent and collaborative working style; business-minded, pragmatic and result-orientated attitude
  • Strong analytical and communication skills; assertive and collaborative
  • Fluent English and ideally also German language skills
