The Head of Data Strategy Leads will manage the Data Strategy Lead team within the RWE Data Strategy Access and Enablement (DSAE) group. An active participating leader, this role will lead and guide the team and will be a key leader within the DSAE and wider IQVIA Real World Solutions (RWS) organization in setting and implementing the strategy for novel data collection approaches across RWS and enabling change management against that strategy.

Data Strategists will be a vital function in the evolution of innovative data collection and operational delivery models for RWS and engage with delivery and go to market teams to advise on the appropriate strategy for deployment of data collection technology assets. The Data Strategy team will have responsibility for specific billable tasks on projects to enhance and support IQVIA RWS existing functional teams leading our studies. They will also play a role as change agents across the business supporting our organization to evolve and then scale towards new delivery models and data collection approaches.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Reporting to the Head of Emerging Delivery Design, this individual leads the Data Strategy Lead Organization and operates as a change agent for RWS organization including, participation in planning for scaling novel technology and data collection approaches across RWS. Interfacing between GTM Evidence Strategy Leads and the RWE Core Delivery organization. This include my not be limited to, the following:
    • Provide insights and support as corporate innovative strategy and solutioning evolves with a view towards client asks and delivery capability to Vertical Pillar Leads and Emerging Methods and Solutions.
    • An advocate for and support utilization of the data and patient journey and privacy implications of solution on a region or country and therapeutics basis.
    • Setting scaling strategic direction and planning for transition of tasks, process or studies based on time-based phasing or study progress phasing to GBU core operational delivery teams.
    • Enable active participation of Data Strategy Leads in Delivery Strategy Reviews as part of the GTM solutioning process.
    • Collaborate with Delivery Process Design within the DSAE group to create and scale the use of novel technology and delivery approaches.
    • Support the implementation of commercial infrastructure to support the GTM, Pricing and Contracting of Data Strategy Lead Team, ensuring team members align with Commercial and Functional Delivery Teams.
  • Build and evolve the Data Strategy Lead Team including, talent acquisition, building training and onboarding infrastructure and creating controlled documentation to enable teams to deliver on projects.
  • Accountable for operational performance targets and specific revenue and billability targets for Data Strategy Leads across the portfolio of studies deploying novel technology and data collection approaches.
  • Create change management plans to incubate, scale and transfer skills and knowledge from Data Strategy Lead into Data Management functional team at scale, directly working with Head of Scientific Services for RWE GBU.
  • Act as a member of the DSAE leadership team, collaborating with the wider RWS leadership team to provide delivery input into corporate innovation strategy as well as bridge between innovative strategy and core operational delivery.

Desired Skills And Experience
  • Demonstrate knowledge of line management in relevant areas of real-world evidence operational delivery including: data management; evidence strategy; clinical operations; consulting; or project management.
  • Demonstrate knowledge in one or more data collection modalities: data enabled sites access, patient access, decentralized study components and/or EMR to EDC; and the subsequent application to operational delivery along with the experience of working in creative solutioning for customers and involvement in new business pursuits.
  • Ability to establish peer relationships internally across company departments and maintain effective working environment with peers, cross-functional teams, management and externally with clients, vendors and partners including effecting and managing change with key stakeholders.
  • Robust planning, organizational, judgement, decision-making and process improvement skills, with a drive for continuous improvement and the ability to ensure procedures and processes are in place that led to delivery of quality results.
  • Demonstrated ability to (a) meet short-term deadlines and multi-task in a very fast-paced work environment and (b) deliver results to the appropriate quality and timeline metrics.
  • Outstanding verbal, written, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills, including a positive and professional attitude
  • Proven team player with demonstrated success in building and leading successful project teams in a matrix environment
  • Demonstrate working understanding of operational systems and process, including SOPs, Work Instructions and Pricing Tools.
  • Commitment to the successful achievement of team and organizational goals through a desire to participate with and help other members of the team.
  • Willingness to share and receive information and ideas from all levels of the organization in order to achieve the desired results.
  • High energy, self-motivated, “can-do” attitude, approachable, and articulate team player able to perform with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree. MBA or relevant Master Degree is desirable is preferred.
  • At least 7 years of experience in the delivery of real-world evidence projects, in either site management, project management, data management, strategic feasibility, operational portfolio management, epidemiology or other related delivery fields.
  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry landscape, including bio-pharma essential and exposure to healthcare data desirable.
  • Mastery of MS Office tools.
