As EHS Manager you will guide and help manage all Environmental, Health and Safety functions for a site in compliance with Givaudan EHS policies and with all applicable EHS regulations. You will manage the risk and drive cultural change to reduce the probability of EHS incidents.


Furthermore you will improve the EHS organisation to achieve added value to the organisation and promote the EHS culture across the organisation. This role is based in Bischofszell and you will report directly to the Site Operations Manager.


You will:

  • Deploy EHS vision aligned with company strategy for the site taking into account both the OPS/EHS Global Strategy/plans and the local legislation
  • Manage compliance with all EHS Regulations
  • Manage all Site EHS trainings for all employees and contractors
  • Deploy behaviour-based safety programmes
  • Ensure safety and Health programmes are strictly implemented
  • Ensure emergency planning is effective
  • Track site safety behavioural audits and incidents, analyse trends on audits, incidents and near miss reports and report same to management team
  • Lead the safety committee to promote safety awareness and improve the safety of the site by increasing issues identified to closure
  • Manage all hazardous and non-hazardous waste activities
  • Maintain good relationships with relevant external partners (authorities/communities/network)
  • Be the primary contact for Federal, State, and local EHS regulatory agencies
  • Be the main contact with other department: Regulatory, IT, regional Management Team

You have:

  • Master degree in chemistry, Engineering, EHS or other related field
  • 5 or more years experience in the industry and experience in an EHS plant
  • Appropriate country EHS qualification/certifications
  • Business fluent in English and German
  • Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, Risk Control
  • Experience with Root Cause Analysis
  • Expert in Process Safety Management
  • Experience in Audit, H+S Management and Emergency Management
