We are seeking a highly organized and analytical individual to join our team as a Hedge Fund Strategy Analyst. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in assessing quantitative investment strategies, ideally in a current role within a fund of hedge funds or a hedge fund strategy research firm.

Leibniz Group is a fast growing Multi-Strategy Multi-Manager Asset Management firm recognized for its innovative systematic and machine learning-driven investment strategies. Our team of experienced professionals manages 12 award-winning strategies, which we aim to grow further by adding more investment team members to the Group.

Tasks

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, analyzing and assessing quantitative investment strategies, evaluating their potential and recommending appropriate investments. You will be expected to work independently and have the ability to think critically and creatively to identify new investment opportunities. Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, economics, or finance
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a fund of hedge fund/hedge fund due diligence role with a solid rolodex of portfolio managers and strategies/funds
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze, and assess systematized investment strategies
  • Strong knowledge of investment strategies and financial instruments
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, C++ etc.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex quantitative models and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proven track record of developing sophisticated quantitative models to generate alpha
  • Expertise in portfolio optimization, Monte Carlo simulations, and back-testing
  • Familiarity with risk management techniques such as stress testing
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
