We at Yara are part of a global network, collaborating to profitably and responsibly solve some of the world’s key challenges - resource scarcity, food insecurity and environmental change.

A Bit About YARA And VARDA

Over the past decade, the agriculture industry has witnessed a dramatic surge in investment towards the digitization of farming by large incumbents, tech multinationals and innovative agritech start-ups across the world. This development has caused the proliferation of data-based services aimed at improving farmers productivity and agricultural efficiency in all its aspects. However, to this date no company has achieved the sufficient depth and breadth of data required to achieve field-specific transparency and reward sustainable farming practices in the global food systems, since numerous challenges hinder farm and field data sharing at scale. Overcoming these challenges requires a truly collaborative, industry-wide approach. In this context, Yara has decided to set-up a new corporate venture, Varda Farm and Field Data Exchange (“Varda ”, previously "ODX"), with the goal of breaking data silos and driving system-level change in global food and fiber supply chains.

About The Role

After an initiation phase in 2020, Yara has decided to set-up Varda as an independent corporate venture, with the aim to create the necessary neutrality in the implementation of its mission, to foster trust in its data acquisition strategy and to create a neutral governance model with other early movers from the industry, in the interest of all participants and the broader Ag & food ecosystem.

For this reason, the company is now looking for a HR Manager, reporting to the COO of Varda, to drive the set-up of of the HR function, defining and implementing the necessary processes and procedures.
