IB Diploma Physics and IB Middle Years Integrated Science Teacher

Haut-Lac international bilingual school (K-12 with around 600 students) near Vevey (Vaud), Switzerland invites applications from Physics and Science Teachers for IB Middle years and Diploma,to join the school team from mid-August 2023. Bilingual English/French candidates are preferred, as well as candidates who are able to teach a second DP science or mathematics.

Applicants should be enthusiastic educators with experience of teaching in international schools and have an interest in promoting extra-curricular activities to our students.

Your profile :

  • Bachelor in Physics or equivalent title;
  • A PGCE or teaching certificate;
  • Qualified to teach DP Physics and integrated sciences up to MYP5;
  • Mastery of educational technological tools (iPad, distance learning platforms, etc.);
  • Teaching experience of the MYP and DP programmes preferred;
  • A passionate science educator ;
  • Preferred experience of a pastoral role;
  • Preferred: able to teach a second DP science and/or MYP mathematics;
  • A working knowledge of French; higher proficiency preferred.

Your mission :

  • Teaching DP Physics and MYP integrated science in English
  • Possibly teaching MYP 4 and 5 physics and MYP integrated science in French
  • Participating actively in the extracurricular life of the school
