IC Laboratory Technician

As an IC Laboratory Technician, you will be part of the IC production engineering team. In this role you will ensure the timely availability of the test & characterization equipments, oversee the maintenance, manage the calibration, and take care of our laboratory infrastructures.

To achieve successfully this position, it is fundamental to be open minded, proactive, very well self-organized, with multitasking capacity and being a team player.

The role is located in Thalwil, Switzerland.

Your Responsibilities

  • Manage our IC test and design laboratories
  • Setup the wafer probers and chip handlers
  • Organize the maintenance of our test equipment and Lab infrastructure (Air Conditioning, Electricity, Layout)
  • Follow-up the calibration plan for the equipment
  • Maintain the inventory of the lab (equipment, components)
  • Act as 4-eyes control in the development of our test programs
  • Test and verify the failures from production and/or the customer
  • Support characterization runs
  • Support our Hardware board validation
  • Support our Hardware repair activity (mainly SMD soldering)

Your Skills and Experience

  • Technician (HF as “Höhere Fachschule”) in electronics
  • Overall solid technical background
  • Ability to work independently and carefully on technical setups
  • Experience in measurement and debugging in the lab (multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.)
  • Good verbal and written communications skills in English; German skills also appreciated
  • Team player, flexible, and self-organized
  • Swiss or EU/EFTA citizen or resident with valid work permit for Switzerland

  • Experience with Automatic Test Equipment
  • Programming skills (Python, C++, FPGA)
