Export – Import Manager (M/F)

In order to support our distribution network transformation and our business development worldwide, we are looking for an Export – Import Manager responsible for steering daily activities of the department to ensure on-time customers’ delivery. She/he will as well be a key asset to the company’s distribution strategic plan by contributing to cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Management of an administrative team of approx. 10 people
  • Management of the Invoicing: on-time invoicing according to logistics and accounting requirements
  • Import - Export documentation and customs declaration management for flawless shipment of the goods worldwide
  • Ensure expected service levels are achieved to meet customers’ requirements
  • Forwarders’ relationship management: steer shipping capacity, service level agreements follow-up, transport invoices control
  • Handle transport budget and its optimization (mean of transportation, routes)
  • Be the key contact for Customs and authorities: regulatory monitoring and litigation resolution
  • Support all internal departments in their requests and projects with order or shipping advise
  • Create and maintain processes and tools – Deliver associated training to employees
  • Follow-up department’s KPIs on a regular basis and analyze key outputs
  • Work on continuous improvement: identify strategic and operational evolutions (IS&T tools, processes, organization) to support business development

Profile:

  • You have a Master’s degree or equivalent from University, Management School or Engineering School with at least 5-7 years of experience in Supply chain, international trade preferably in import-export. Fluent in French and English
  • You are driven by customer’s satisfaction and operational excellence and solution oriented and continuous improvement mindset
  • You have great communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to collaborate with different departments and cultures
  • You have a global understanding of wholesale and retail distribution as well as international trade and customs processes
  • You have a solid background in team and change management and a proven track record delivering successful projects in organization processes and efficiency
