The Division of Private Fundraising and Partnerships (PFP) coordinates and provides support to National Committees and country offices in all private sector fundraising and partnership activities, in cooperation with regional offices and with other headquarter divisions. PFP also implements global strategies in child rights advocacy, communication and brand positioning through a range of partnerships, including with the media, corporations, civil society and young people.  

PFP’s HR Learning and Development Unit supports PFP in building and sustaining an effective learning culture and an overall positive & engaging work environment in UNICEF, making it a strong enabler to support the goals of PFP and its Private Sector Fundraising (PSFR) network in Country Offices and National Committees, to deliver results for children. 

How can you make a difference?

PFP’s HR Learning and Development team is currently looking for an L&D Coordinator to support the management and production of its learning events. This role offers an opportunity to work in a team of passionate learning professionals, to gain exposure to a broad spectrum of audiences and facilitators as well as participate in PFP’s exciting training programmes (7 Habits of Highly Effective People, Unconscious Bias, Gallup’s CliftonStrengths, Writing with Impact etc.)   

MAIN TASKS

Reporting to the HR Manager (Learning & Development) in PFP, Learning and Development Coordinator will perform the following tasks: 
  • Training coordination:  
  • Coordinates training invitations and enrolments. 
  • Handle internal and external room bookings and ordering refreshments. 
  • Disseminate post-training evaluation forms, compile, and share feedback to facilitator(s). 
  • Keep track and ensure availability of training-specific materials.    
  • Training production: 
  • Provide technical support on Teams to all virtual workshops, team retreats and webinars. 
  • work with facilitators to understand their needs and help co-design the Teams sessions. 
  • moderate training sessions and address staff queries, where applicable.  
  • Other tasks: 
  • Keep the current PFP Intranet page and PFP Training Calendar, up to date. 
  • Maintain internal training records. 
  • Other administrative tasks as required.  
DELIVERABLES
  • Reliable zoom production support to webinars, virtual workshops and virtual team retreats.
  • All upcoming training offerings are broadcasted at least 2 weeks prior each workshop/training event.
  • A reply is sent to interested staff (globally) within 48 hours of receipt of email inquiry.
  • Rooms booked in advance, coffee and refreshments ordered.
  • Completed evaluation forms are received from all workshop/training participants and compiled for the facilitator’s peruse.
  • List of participants is updated based on the signed attendance sheet within 48 hours of the workshop/training.
  • Maintain and keeping up to date the L&D Intranet site and SharePoint site.
  • Respond to staff queries on L&D matters, as related to coordinator role.
  • Customer-oriented, highly quality, and timely support is provided to staff and non-staff.

11.5 months (starting December 2022), full-time

Education
  • First level University degree is required.
Experience
  • At least 5 years of professional experience working in the areas of administration, human resources, training or knowledge management is required. 
  • Experience in events coordination is required.
  • Experience working in the UN and UNICEF an asset 
  • Hands-on experience in online training production (Zoom or Teams) is required. 
  • Excellent customer service skills.  
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite products (MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint) is required. 
Language
  • Fluency in English is required. Working knowledge of French is highly desirable.
