The Industrialization Project Manager will provide project management leadership for complex and high-profile consumer industrialization projects in the Galderma Consumer Business Unit.



Reporting to the Operations Brand Partner, you will be accountable for the operational efforts both internally and externally to drive the execution of the project teams to industrialize new products or improve existing processes. It is a global role in a matrix organization within Operations and in Partnership with the Consumer Business Unit.



Responsibilities

Build and lead the technical project team:

  • Lead project teams to industrialize either new products developed by the Consumer R&D team or implement continuous improvement & Procurement projects (like second sources) on existing products
  • Identify the required competencies (Quality, Process & Analytical development, Supply Chain, Packaging, Engineering, …) and build project teams
  • Define and communicate project team rules and ways of working
  • Contribute and support the team to solve challenges (technical and human) within the project team and manage communications with stakeholders



Project budgeting, planning and execution:

  • Establish a project strategy, project plan, dimension resource and budget requirements in coherence with project management methodologies and existing procedures
  • Plan activities at scale up (within Operations when needed) & manufacturing site (Galderma or CMOs) levels
  • Ensure project deliverables (project charter, meeting minutes, risk analysis, KPIs, …) and activities (project brief, change control…) are timely available and updated
  • Ensure decision making-process is handled in an effective and timely manner to deliver project brief / milestones: supply the needed inputs / recommendations / mitigation actions facilitating decision-makers positioning
  • Escalate issues and project deviations, together with proposal to address these when possible, to the appropriate project governance bodies
  • Lead the project budget planning and ensure a frequent cost control for both CAPEX and OPEX
  • Lead and update project risk analysis in collaboration with team members



Regulatory dossier follow-up (OTC / Cosmetic):

  • Coordinate activities needed to ensure that the required regulatory dossiers are built, submitted, and registered when applicable
  • Coordinate activities, within Operations, aiming at consolidating answers to Authorities questions



Requirements

  • University Degree in Science or Engineering
  • 7+ years of experience in a similar role in a scientific environment (Consumer Products, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Industry, Cosmetic, Medical Device or similar)
  • Experience in project management development with the focus on scale-up and industrialization
  • Project Management certification (PMI or equivalent) is a plus
  • Good knowledge of regulated environments (OTC, Cosmetic GMP - mainly US/Canada, Europe, China, and Japan)
  • Experience in stakeholder’s management in a complex, matrix, multicultural organization
  • Hands-on expertise with project management tools
  • Able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities
  • Self-motivated, comfortable in fast-paced company environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills, negotiation skills, active listening, and relationship management skills
  • Fluency in English, French is a plus
