The job of Information Systems Security & Compliance Specialist is to apply strong security knowledge and expertise to activities in all Information Systems process domains to assist with global business needs and help solving difficult topics. Reporting to the Head of IS Office you will identify, propose, advise on and implement existing Information Systems security technology, helping with the installation, management, maintenance, and optimization of solutions/services.

Your responsibilities
  • Engaging with local Divisions through communication of the IS Risk & Security programs, services and changes to Country Management, Local Divisions, Local Division IS Managers (formerly known as BEMs) and Country IS via the appropriate channels
  • Providing local support in managing major multi-vectored incidents that may occur and liaising with external parties locally when needed (such as national security agencies, external auditors etc.)
  • Creating stakeholder trust in the IS Risk and Security capability to deliver solutions and services which add business value and protect assets; working collaboratively to facilitate accountable asset owners having an overview of the security status of their assets through respective Security services and taking any necessary remediating actions
  • Acting as a single point of contact to gather security enquiries and evaluate and prioritize IS Risk & Security demands received from local Division IS Managers and other relevant stakeholders; through active engagement in areas covered by the ABB IS Risk Dashboard the IS Security and Compliance Specialist will facilitate improved awareness and actions towards getting to and remaining at a green status
  • Provide help and support for security awareness and education at the local level
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR
  • Supports/works globally if required
Your background
  • 5+ years of Information Systems experience of which 2+ years in Information Security and/or IS Compliance
  • Expertise in understanding of IS Risk, Security and Compliance requirements (E.g. SOX-IT) in global organizations
  • Security certifications (CISSP, CISM, etc.) and/or auditor certifications (ISO 27001 auditor, CISA etc.) as well as good knowledge of ITIL processes is desirable
  • Internal experience of ABB departments at managerial level and ways of working is advantageous
  • Experienced in influencing, convincing, and persuading individuals to act in a compliant way
  • Being a team player, having the ability and desire to work collaboratively as part of our team
  • Effective communication with stakeholders at all levels in IS and in the operational businesses
  • Fluency in English is required, excellent German is also essential
