About the role

We are looking for an Institutional Sales Manager for the Crypto Finance Institutional Sales Team, in charge of building new institutional and professional client relationships in Suisse Romande. The role will be primarily remote and candidates with a home base and network in Geneva would be preferred. The geographic priority is French-speaking Switzerland but collaboration with team members regarding the broader sales strategy will be required.

As part of the Institutional Sales Team of Crypto Finance AG, you will report to the Head of Institutional Sales and will collaborate with the Product & Partnership Managers, Account Managers, and (Sales) Trading in initiating new client relationships. You will gain experience and gain deep insights into the digital asset ecosystem.

Institutional Sales is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, prospect conversion, and the growth of institutional and professional client relationships. Target clients are primarily banks and asset managers interested in establishing and growing their own digital asset offerings. This role is focused specifically on identifying qualified leads for institutional client relationships to enhance Crypto Finance’s market position.

Once leads are identified, the Institutional Sales Manager collaborates internally and with prospects directly to understand and scope a business case based on client needs. The Institutional Sales Manager monitors developments in the market, and anticipates prospects’ needs to provide feedback to Account Managers and Product & Partnership Management.

Key responsibilities

Take responsibility to source and foster new leads (institutional and professional clients) and establish strong prospect business cases
Work with internal and external stakeholders to convert leads into prospects, prioritise efforts to anticipate and ensure appropriate responses to prospect needs
Further develop presence in the Swiss market by attending conferences, understanding the regulatory developments, and building a strong institutional and professional prospect network
Develop and maintain relationships with internal departments of the organisation, including Compliance, Account Management, Product Management, Trading, and Legal
Maintain an expert level of understanding of the trading and infrastructure platforms, as well as other products, in order to provide knowledgeable support to prospects and potential partners both externally and internally
Maintain an expert level of understanding of the digital asset market landscape
Produce regular reports to management
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and restrictions
Update and maintain the CRM for accurate recordkeeping of all relationships
Requirements
A motivated individual with 5+ years of relevant professional experience in Sales, Relationship Management, or similar function at a financial institution
A passion for blockchain technology and digital assets, including the crypto asset market
Relevant university degree, e.g. Business Administration, Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills and a team player
Highly proactive and outgoing personality
High level of attention to detail and accuracy in combination with a hands-on mentality
Excellent analytical, quantitative, and organisational skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple ad hoc projects simultaneously
Solid MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), and fast adaption of new tools required
Proficient level of written and spoken English and French; knowledge of German is a plus
