What you do

  • Partner with key stakeholders such as Domain & Solution Architects and Domain Heads to understand their needs, develop roadmaps, integration standards and Best Practices,
  • Establish future-oriented integration technology and architecture
  • Support & enabling the strategic Transformation Projects.
  • Define and structure the roadmap for the API and Microservice platform at Zurich
  • Define a data-driven approach to measure value and achieve platform KPIs
  • Collaborate with the product owners and product managers to define features
  • Support the team of engineers to create self-service platforms
  • Communicate the roadmap to teams across the organization
  • Ensure the buy-in from management and create a pull effect for developers
  • Have a bias for strategic over tactical approaches while focusing on value delivery
  • Contribute to solution architecture for projects across business areas
  • Contribute on topics like cloud-first, open-source and GitOps
  • Understand our technology stack (Java, Azure services, Kubernetes, Spring Boot, Camel, Linux, Kafka, Terraform, Elastic, Infinidash and various Apache Frameworks)
What you bring

This position is well suited for a person with relevant skills in technology or product topics with an interest to take up a leadership role. We value relevant skills and motivation over formal relevant experience.

  • Strong experience engaging with stakeholders from business and engineering
  • Strong understanding of how technology provides value for business cases
  • Strong experience with REST APIs, Microservices, Containerization and related technologies
  • Understanding of agile methodology and a customer-first mindset
  • Understanding of DevOps, GitOps, cloud and operations
  • Passionate about technology, solution-oriented and hands-on
  • Development experience in Java or other object-oriented languages beneficial
  • Experience with SOA, event streaming and security standards beneficial
  • Team spirit and focus on high quality delivery
  • Fluent in English and ideally German
