Within Caterpillar’s EAME Distribution Headquarters located in Geneva, we are offering an Internship Program for a period of 17 months. This Program offers a mix of on-the job learning, coupled with personal development and monthly training opportunities. At completion of this program there will be opportunities to become a permanent employee if job performance is high and appropriate positions are available.

Job Description

As the Treasury & Finance Intern, you will have the opportunity to make the next step in your education more meaningful through practical experience in an international business environment. You will transform academic learning into business solutions while working on real projects and developing a personal network in the business world. You will work within a challenging environment that encourages a team concept combining the skills and expertise of people from varied professional disciplines and backgrounds where initiative and innovation are encouraged and rewarded.

JobDuties/Responsibilitiesmay include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting the Treasury Manager and other staff members of the Treasury Division.

  • Treasury system implementation (testing, data conversion, system set up, etc.)

  • Auditing / Sarbanes & Oxley compliance process related to the new system

  • Month-end closing cycle – Treasury reporting

  • Cash management processes

  • Bank account administration, structures and cost analysis

  • Foreign exchange processes

  • Cash application and reconciliation of unidentified cash

  • Miscellaneous accounts receivable administration

Required Qualifications:

  • Recent graduate with maximum 2 years of work experience/ post-graduation

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics an equivalent business degree

  • Previous experience in treasury, banking, or accounting would be beneficial

  • Analytical skills and mindset, ability to focus, work independently and show initiative

  • Strong communication skills and a team player

  • Willingness to learn and grow

  • Technology savvy

  • Fluent in English (written and verbal)

Desired Qualifications:

  • Additional European languages is an advantage
