ING Wholesale Banking Switzerland is looking for a talented young graduate, who has the potential and ambition to become a banking Leader. As a Wholesale Banking trainee, you’ll play an active role in the dynamic, globe-straddling world of corporate banking.As a Wholesale Banking trainee, you’ll be thrown in at the deep end from day one. You’ll quickly familiarise yourself with our clients’ businesses and the sectors they operate in. Within weeks, you’ll be contributing analysis and recommendations that will inform important decisions. There’s no instruction manual for the work we do. You’ll have the support of senior colleagues, but how you achieve your objectives is up to you. Along the way, you’ll learn the fundamentals of corporate financing deals. You’ll also master the art of negotiation and relationship management: skills that will benefit you for life.

About the ITP :

The ING International Talent Programme is a highly effective four-year development programme for international graduates with high-growth potential. Through the ITP we can attract, select and develop these top talents into future banking leaders. One of its primary objectives is to develop a global mindset in which to teach trainees core banking, track-specific and Orange leadership skills

The first year is a rotation year with (minimal) two rotations within the business line, with the opportunity to complete a rotation outside of the home country. Second and third year cover a fixed position of at least 2 years. The learning journey includes a yearly event with pre and post learning and:

  • Core Banking Skills for all trainees
  • Personal Skills for all trainees
  • Track specific skills for trainees of the separate tracks (Retail Banking, Wholesale Banking, Risk, Finance, HR and IT)
  • Mandatory certifications

Requirements:

  • You have a Master’s degree in: Business Studies, Economics, Mathematics/Statistics, Engineering, Finance, Law
  • Good command of the English language. Another language is a plus (French, German, Russian)
  • Understanding & views on economic landscape & banking industry
  • Extra-curricular activities (sports, charity, leading a group, active in any organization)
  • International experience
  • Internship and/or relevant side jobs
  • Maximum 2 years of working experience
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Make complex things easy

  • Good judgement calls
  • Ability to connect and create solid networks
  • Curiosity
  • Flexibility to change
  • Attention to details
