Your role

  • work with a variety of stakeholders across the firm
  • assist and advise business areas on laws, regulations and rules that govern day-to-day activities
  • work in a dynamic and proactive environment which is focused on excellence and risk management in a fast-changing world
  • collaborate with global colleagues to ensure that best practices are shared around the region/globe.

Internship
Our 6 month internship is an ideal way to gain the work experience you’ll need to launch your career. It’s also an opportunity to work with and learn from some of our sharp people in finance.

From the start of the program, you’ll be right at the heart of the business, taking part in the day-to-day operations. You’ll not only learn about the business of finance from top to bottom, you’ll also experience our unique workplace culture.

Your team

Group Compliance and Regulatory Governance (GCRG) strives to be an industry leading function in the effective oversight of compliance and operational risks and to enable the firm to effectively cope with the evolving regulatory environment and driving solutions in line with UBS’s strategic objectives.

GCRG has a number of key responsibilities including Operational Risk, Compliance, Financial Crime, Government and Regulatory Affairs and Group Investigations. This is a unique set up in comparison with our peers and ultimately means that these teams work together for the greater good. GCRG leadership team is based in multiple jurisdictions and key hub locations, offering very promising career trajectories for teams around the globe. GCRG is committed to recognizing the uniqueness of all employees and potential candidates to ensure it is a collaborative, efficient an innovative function, as well as a great place to work.

Your expertise

You need have completed at least four semesters of your bachelor’s degree or have obtained your master’s degree within the last 6 months.

In particular, you have:
  • good communication skills, comfortable interacting with colleagues at all levels
  • an interest in working in a fast-paced international environment as part of a team
  • good judgement when dealing with sensitive information
  • a structured work style, confident working autonomously
  • excellent German and English (written and oral)

Perhaps you’ve organized a fundraising event or taken part in team sports? Or persevered and passed an exam in a subject you found challenging? Think about how things you’ve achieved match the skills we’re after.
