Your role

Do you have an analytical mindset and flair for numbers? Do you know how to pay attention to detail and enjoy interacting with experts form various functions? Are you interested in Business Administration and would like to learn about Investment Banking sales? Then, take the opportunity to become part of our dynamic team where you will:
  • support to achieve the Global Market sales strategy for both Global Wealth Management and the Investment Banking business to execute and track strategic priorities, whilst helping to maintain the operational framework and (risk) governance together with our key stakeholders in EMEA & Switzerland
  • be responsible to produce high quality reporting and communications by delivering focused, timely, consistent, and clear inputs
  • drive and develop diverse (strategic) projects and process improvement initiatives to simplify our day-to-day ways of working
  • support preparation of presentations for Senior Management and partners in the Markets

Internship

Your team

You will be part of a young & dynamic Global Markets IB COO Distribution team, based in Opfikon, Zurich. Our team is in the centre of the trade floor, positioned to support both our Global Markets Wealth Management and Investment Banking sales force, providing you with a unique opportunity to gain exposure across both divisions as part of our fungible set-up. Our team works very closely with senior stakeholders, control functions, Sales & Trading across the Markets. From day one you’ll be right at the heart our business, making a difference as well as gaining the exposure to multiple parts of our dynamic organization with the option to participate in desk rotations to learn about the products. Obviously your colleagues will provide you with an exciting environment that supports your growth and individual development!

Your expertise

You need have completed at least four semesters of your bachelor’s degree or have obtained your master’s degree within the last 6 months.

In particular you have:
  • completed bachelor/master degree at a university or university of applied sciences, with economics or business administration background
  • advanced English with excellent written & oral skills
  • strong Microsoft Office skills i.e., Excel, Word and Power-Point
  • fast learner, open minded, detail oriented and a flexible team player
  • ability to work accurately, organised, independent and time-restricted in a fast paced and challenging environment

But we’d like to also see evidence that you can:
  • analyse a problem, take a view and come to a conclusion
  • plan, organize and communicate well
  • be proactive, curious and make things happen
  • stick with a task
  • work in a team
  • come up with ideas.

Start date: June 2023
Duration: 6 months with possibility to extend for further 6 months. We also offer flexible ways of working, with a hybrid model to suit people’s requirements where relevant.
