In the BioX - BioAnalytics and BioMarkers Chapter, we are developing innovative assay strategies and assays for biomarker candidates to support translational safety and translational PK/PD and efficacy.

As a member of this Pharmaceutical Sciences chapter, you will be part of an international team that includes scientists and associates that are developing biomarker assays for the future.

We are seeking a highly motivated master student for a 9 months internship position in workflow automation development (Expected starting date: 01/04/2022).

In this position, you will
  • Learn and compare automation processes for proteomics workflows, establish quality controls and apply to complex samples

  • Under supervised training and mentoring, gradually assume responsibility for agreed tasks (which may include: sample processing, robotization, LC-MS, data processing and analysis)

  • Collaboratively design, execute and interpret experiments

  • Be part of a matrix research environment and embedded in a highly experienced researchers team with backgrounds ranging from biochemistry to mass spectrometry

  • Be exposed to state of the art laboratory and analytical equipment as well as technologies such as mass spectrometry and proteomics.

Who you are

You are an ambitious student who is currently enrolled in a Master program in life sciences (preferably in the area of technology, bioanalytics or systems biology).


Moreover, you are

  • A person who works systematically and precisely and brings a high level of initiative as well as a dedicated attitude

  • Knowledgeable of good protein biochemistry lab practice, quantitative proteomics approaches as well as LC-MS data processing and interpretation.

  • A proactive and transparent team worker

  • Supportive and inclusive of a collaborative working environment

  • Proficient in English with good communication skills both written and oral

  • Able to manage multiple requests and priorities and willingness to learn new techniques
