Internship in Metal Procurement (3-12 month) – SQRM Rollout & Digital Transformation

Responsibilities & Qualifications

The Metal Procurement Intern is reporting to the Metal Sourcing Leader at Novelis and is responsible for supporting the successful Supplier Quality Relationship Management (SQRM) system rollout in the European Metal Procurement organization.

Supplier Quality Relationship Management is becoming a key area of focus in a world of increasing supply chain complexity and focus on sustainable supply chain management.

Having transparent and lean procurement processes implemented is key for an agile organization to compete with global competitors and to fulfil international quality standards requirements. The usage and implementation of latest IT technologies to automatize processes and to reduce non-value add human activities is a key area to improve cashflows and free up working capacity of employees for more innovative tasks.

Analysing, documenting, optimizing and implementing best practice processes and driving the transformation agenda in the European Metal Procurement department will be a key responsibility of the Intern.

What Awaits You

• Contribute to process improvements and optimization projects
• Process mapping, standardization and optimization
• Improving KPI reporting in the procurement organization
• Driving together with the Metal Sourcing Leader the SQRM agenda
• Close collaboration with the Metal Quality Manager and the European SQRM Lead to roll out the SQRM model in Europe
• Supporting in regional and global IT projects to improve sourcing and planning activities
  

How You Convince Us

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Sustainability, Business Engineering, Business Informatics or similar
• First working experience in an international organization preferred
• Strong ability to understand complex problems with advanced analytical skills
• Lean process thinking
• Collaborative team player and excellent communicator
• Open minded and solution oriented
• Fluent communication skills in English and German
• Knowledge in SAP modules is a plus
• Advanced MS Office program knowledge is a must
• Experience in MS Visio and Power BI is a plus
