As a member of the Local Investment Advisory team, you will be responsible for the advice of investment solutions to clients and prospects, with the primary objective of partnering with Private Banking Client Relationship Officers (CROs) to offer appropriate investment solutions, both discretionary and advisory, and attracting/enhancing client relationships and profitability.

Main responsibilities

  • Responsibilities include but will not be limited to: Working directly with clients and partnering with Client Relationship Officers, being accountable for assessing investment needs based on risk profile, developing a comprehensive investment strategy, coordinating sales and execution against that strategy, and monitoring performance and appropriateness of the client’s overall investment portfolio.
  • Create tailor made investment proposals across different markets with appropriate products and services, adjusting portfolios to client’s risk appetite, needs and market conditions
  • Create and maintain model portfolios in close collaboration with the CIO Office
  • Observe and analyse financial markets to monitor and develop client’s investment strategies
  • Be proactive and in regular contact with clients and Client Relationship Officers to inform them of the markets and portfolio evolution as well as Bank’s investment ideas and opportunities.
  • Provide input and support for the development of new business initiatives and product enhancement.
  • Promote discretionary mandates to increase penetration.
  • Contribute to the increase of client share of wallet
  • Comply with all internal and external regulations and procedures
  • Participate and provide input to any Bank’s initiatives if needed
  • Responsibility for specific projects and administrative tasks

Skills and experience

  • University degree in economics or finance, or comparable qualifications (CFA, AZEK etc)
  • Minimum 5 years client-facing experience in investment advisory or portfolio management; brokerage or institutional sales function useful
  • Passion for financial markets
  • Strong knowledge of financial instruments across all asset classes, ESG and Alternatives a plus
  • Able to establish close and trusted relationships with CROs and clients
  • Ability to build and maintain networks with internal stake holders, collaborate across teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English, any additional language appreciated
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work under pressure
  • Results oriented with ability to proactively and independently solve problems
  • Sound judgement, keen sense of urgency and high level of professional and personal integrity
  • Very good communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent knowledge in MS Office and Bloomberg
