IS Project Manager

As part of IS Domain Effectiveness and its mandate for cross Domains Pro-grams/Projects delivery and execution, the IS Domain Effectiveness Project Manager sets a planning strategy that includes a full list of activities that are important for the project. Decides on project delivery methodology (waterfall, agile) and aligns with stakeholders. Defines the scope of the project and develops a project schedule accordingly. Ensures that all related activities are executed in accordance with company procedures, project objectives, applicable quality standards, safety requirements, cost, and scheduling targets. This role report to the GBS IS Domains Effectiveness Manager.

Your responsibilities

  • Plans, schedules, coordinates, and delivers the IS program outcomes to time, scope, cost and agreed quality.
  • Leads sub projects or sub workstream as part of the whole program.
  • Defines, with key stakeholders, the scope of work, cost/budget, resources required, time schedule, and detailed work allocation.
  • Coordinates and prioritizes project tasks, manages timelines, maintains project plans, and communicates status to key stakeholders.
  • Defines, jointly with key stakeholders, all project documents, including scope and financial plans, schedule, and risk management plans.
  • Effectively organizes, monitors, and controls activities to ensure achievement of planned stage-gates and efficient utilization of available resources.
  • Monitors and controls project cost and financials. Identifies, contains and reduces risk, and ensures that all opportunities are captured and acted upon.
  • Uses knowledge and experience to assess what lies ahead at the initial stages of the project, assessing what information they have and don’t have, the risks and issues that may arise during the project and to decide on the best way to proceed.
  • Monitor and control the project management processes.
  • Effectively monitor and control project progress, proactive manage and mitigate program/project risks.
  • Monitor and control project financials, oversee project invoicing status, cost, expenses and cash flow.
  • Ensure that the project applies contract and claims management in accordance with contractual agreements.
  • Ensures the successful close of the project on project completion and the capture and documentation of lessons learned.
  • Execute IS project communication, report IS project performance against plan and expected business outcome.
  • Ensure successful delivery of the IS project and closely collaborate with Business PM on overall project success.
  • Conduct IS Project assessments and ABB IS Gate passing assessments in the domain of expertise.

Your background

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Management, computer systems, busi-ness engineering or similar.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of years of relevant work experience.
  • Proven experience IS Project Methodology, IS Project Governance Model and Agile Project Management.
  • Fluent spoken and written English.
  • ITIL 4 foundation certification is a must.
  • Outstanding influence skills to drive transformation across the whole IS community
  • Enthusiasm for continuously improving the IS experience, making it more enjoyable and productive for consumers
  • Strong project management and leadership skills for managing projects and the teams involved in them
  • Excellent resource planning and task management skills
  • Expert knowledge in project and product management
  • Experience with increasing complexity, budget and business risk level
  • Record of successful delivery of products with Agile (Scrum, Kanban) methodology, optimally within global corporation environment
  • Hands-on skill or prior exposure to Nonviolent Communication (NVC; or its equivalents) highly desired
