In Sonova’s IT Security Operations Center (SOC), the L2/3 Network Security Specialist plays a key role in keeping the organization’s systems and information secure. He/she will work closely with all internal departments to identify vulnerabilities and threats, and respond to security events through analysis of relevant events across devices, managing security tools and providing security reports/metrics, related to specialty area Network Security.

Your tasks

Responsible for detecting and assessing network security events and incidents across the enterpriseResponsible for creating and implementing new processes and procedures to ensure continuous improvements for network security, monitoring, detecting and mitigating cyber security threatsPlanning, engineering, configuring and implementing network threat detection and response systemsCoordinate with the external 24x7 security monitoring service to detect, review & triage suspicious eventsCollect, aggregate, analyze, triage, and analyses information from multiple logs/eventsAccept, triage, assign, and disposition all reported suspicious events and security incidents within Sonova and external service providersResponsible for understanding the global threat landscape through working with threat intelligence resources to maintain awarenessAssists with containment of threats as well as remediation tasks during or after an incident

Your profile

Degree in Computer Science, or related experienceProfessional certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Security+, GIAC GSEC, GCIH or other comparable degree and proven experienceA minimum of 5 years’ experience in a related IT Specialist / network engineer or architect roleWork experience with technologies such as Microsoft Active Directory / Azure, Windows Client and Server operating systems, LAN / WAN technologies, Firewall (Cisco/Fortinet), IDS/IPS solutionsAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsService orientated, loyal, trustworthyExcellent English, written and verbal communication skills
