Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager for our Business Shared Services team, responsible for Finance and Tax applications. The successful candidate will oversee the delivery of the Finance and Tax project portfolio, be a point of escalation for urgent / high-priority support issues and as a direct line and matrix manager develop a team of exceptional talents.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of business application professionals responsible for corporate tax and finance applications.
  • Mentor and develop team members, helping them to grow and advance their careers.
  • Ensure that team members have the necessary skills and resources to be successful in their roles.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders.
  • Ensure the Finance and Tax project portfolio is aligned to business priorities.
  • Deliver the projects on the Finance and Tax project portfolio on time and within budget, through effective scope management, portfolio dependency and risk management, resource planning and budget management.
  • Manage urgent / high priority support issues, ensuring timely resolution and employee satisfaction.
  • Lead global Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to select new application vendors and services.
  • Continuously improve processes and practices to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

  • Experience in a managerial role leading a team of business application professionals.
  • Experience with corporate tax and finance applications. Deep SAP expertise, from prior implementations or application responsibilities.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with business stakeholders.
  • Ability to mentor and develop team members
  • Complex problem-solving ability. Logical and structured in approach.
  • Prior experience in Fashion / Retail / Luxury is desirable.
  • Candidates with technology qualifications preferred (BSc in Computer Science, SAFe, TOGAF, PMP etc.).
  • Fluent in English.
