Primary Function Of Position

The Algorithm Engineer is an integral part of the Aubonne engineering group, responsible for developing clinically relevant novel medical imaging methods.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Develop advanced image analysis and machine learning algorithms for both endoscopic and ex vivo imaging systems
• Analyze data acquired with novel imaging systems
• Collaborate closely with other engineers in a multidisciplinary team
  

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

• MSc or Ph.D. in Biomedical/Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or another STEM field with an emphasis on medical image analysis and machine learning
• At least three years of experience in a similar role
• Experience in programming in Python, Matlab, or C/C++
• Experience using computer vision and machine learning methods to perform image and video analysis, object detection, tracking, segmentation, or related topics
• Experience in defining metrics and datasets, performing error analysis, and training machine learning models
• Familiarity with open-source tools for image analysis and machine learning such as OpenCV, scikit-learn, Tensorflow, Keras, or PyTorch
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written
• Highly innovative with a demonstrated track record for solving complex technical challenges using medical image analysis algorithms
• Demonstrated success in pursuing a line of inquiry, exploring, presenting various options, and being open to feedback
  

Preferred But Non-mandatory Knowledge, Skills, And Experience

• Experience with multimodal medical image registration
• Experience in 3D graphics, 3D modeling, 3D reconstruction, hyperspectral imaging, Raman spectroscopy, or histopathology image analysis
