In the current world of big data, there is a huge need to balance analytics with sufficient business acumen to come to conclusions that have added value for stakeholders from various disciplines. At the same time, complex and strategic business challenges need to be translated with straightforward analysis to make them more manageable.

We are looking for Project Managers who can move our data strategy forward, to enable true company transformation by empowering the whole organization to make data-led decisions. We are looking for you to increase business value, remove waste/duplication and initiate and deliver material change by utilizing data to provide valuable insight to drive real action across our business. We are looking for someone with solid experience in managing end-to-end data projects to join our data-focused delivery team. You will have the opportunity to pioneer in Randstad Switzerland, surrounded by an international team of data experts, and will build a more data-driven culture together with a small team.

Your role

Your priority is the implementation of an end-to-end integrated data solution and reporting. Supported by an international community, a data engineer, and a data analyst, you are expected to connect CRM data to Google Analytics data and internal data management systems and to conduct data analytics within a complex multi-platform environment.

This Entails The Following Way Of Working
  • you have a strong understanding of the value of data and are keen to drive a data-driven culture
  • You set up policies and practices to guide data collection, management, analysis, modeling, and reporting
  • You are engaging deeply with our internal teams to define and execute company-wide data strategy programs and will become the ’trusted advisor’ on data strategy related topics
  • You will play a pivotal role throughout the data lifecycle, ensuring best practices of data management are followed
  • You own the roadmap and directs all efforts to achieve short-term and long-term business objectives by supporting, coaching, and training colleagues, clients, and stakeholders
  • You ensure the successful delivery of analytic results by working with cross-functional teams including marketing, IT, Operations, and Business Concept Management to identify efficient and practical analytic goals
What do we ask of you?
  • 5-10 years of work experience with an extensive data background as a delivery/ project manager. A deep understanding and hands-on experience with at least one of the following: data strategy, data quality, business intelligence (BI), data governance, management information (MI), analytics (embedded), visualization, and reporting
  • You have deep expertise in the functional design, creation, management, and business use of complex datasets (BI and analytics) and combining data from different data sources in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Ability to manage/coach a team of analysts in making decisions utilizing both quantitative data and qualitative knowledge
  • Decision-making, problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills
  • Effective project management, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • You work in an agile way and have a strong curiosity and willingness to rapidly experiment to draw insights and drive change
  • Given the small team, we expect you to be very hands-on and take over the role of the data analyst at the start
skills & knowledge
  • Understanding of BI tools (Qlik Sense and Tableau)
  • Comprehensive understanding of relational database design principles
  • Knowledge of SQL and relational databases
  • Knowledge in any object-oriented/ functional scripting languages: Java, Python, Node, etc.
  • Knowledge in cloud infrastructure and Cloud-based way of working, knowledge of GCP and technologies like Bigquery, Dataflow/Apache Beam, and Composer/Airflow is a (big)plus
  • Experience in common DevOps and CI/CD practices to guarantee the quality of our products (Gitlabs mainly)
  • Knowledge of scalable data platforms, security, authorization, and authentication.
language skills
  • Excellent command (spoken/written) of English, German is an asset
